Adam Wier came to New York City in the summer of 2004, and according to him, that's when life really began. After attending the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, he founded Haberdasher Theatre along with his friend, soul mate, and partner in crime, Hollie Klem. Then room mates, Hollie and Adam allowed themselves to really believe it when their teachers at the academy told them that they should go out and create their own work, and after penning the company's first play, Remember Me, Adam directed its original cast, some of which are still members of the theatre company to this day. Then on, Adam knew that Haberdasher would be his life's dedication, a passion whose fire is continually fueled by the verve and talent of his fellow company members. Adam has also had the fortunate to write two more plays for the company, The Asexual Revolution, in which he played an "asexual alien human" from the future, and Tom's Dilemma, which was his first time serving as a production manager, a role he found himself in many times since. Adam currently works as a pre-college prep teacher for Kaplan, teaching casses in SAT, ACT, SHSAT, and ISEE prep, and studies at Hunter College, where he's completing a degree in Spanish-English Translation and Interpretation and Interdisciplinary Honors Studies. He hopes to blend these two disciplines by translating plays, one of which, The Don Cristobal Show (El Retablillo de Don Cristobal), will soon find itself on the new Haberdasher Theatre blog-- if he can ever find time! Other roles include Covetousness and ensemble in Doctor Faustus, Danton in The Maderati, Guard in Iphegenia at Aulis, and Dracula in Mac Welman's Dracula.
