A graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Kerry Jo has since been simultaneously pursuing a career in the arts as well as the wine business. As for her artistic background, in the beginning of her career, she had the great opportunity of working with Opera XXI in their classical summer theatre program, featuring the renowned Marni Nixon as head of the classical department, summer 2004. After conservatory training for two years, Kerry Jo soon after began working with Haberdasher Theatre and was asked to join the company in 2008, working as chief photographer and part of the publicity team. She was chosen as the primary actor in Steve Burns's (of Blues Clues fame) multimedia choose-your-own-adventure rock show in 2009. The show toured in various venues in the tri-state area as well as South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. Film-wise, Kerry Jo was lucky enough to appear in two feature films, The Hit, with Federico Castellucio (from The Sopranos) and The Pope of Jersey City, produced by Other Side of the River Productions. Ever since, Kerry Jo has focused her energy on creating conceptual photographic art with Matt O'Halloran, © brookLens. They just finished up a spring look-book shoot for OMOI, a Japanese urban culture shop, and are looking forward to copyrighting their work and starting a small collaborative company. She gained most notoriety for her Hair and Beauty Editorial, shot by Tom Carson Photography Ltd, 2009. The photos are popping up in hairstyle magazines all throughout North America. She was also showcased on a front-page jeans article, Glamour August '08. Dracula will be Kerry Jo's fifth production with Haberdasher, this time around as costume assistant and photographic shoot stylist. She was cast in Dr. Faustus as Envy, Valdes and an ensemble member; Alice in Wonderland as the March Hare; The Cyclops as Satyr #2 and the leading role as Dewy in The Maderati. Kerry Jo will continue to establish her photographic art company and work with Haberdasher Theatre into the future. |
